MATT STICKLAND
Matt’s our founding editor, he spent 10 years in the Navy where he deployed to Libya with HMCS Charlottetown and then became a submariner until ‘retiring’ in 2018. In 2019 he completed his Bachelor of Journalism from the University of King’s College. An avid follower and participant of politics Matt felt it was important to start a publication focusing on what politicians do day to day. You can follow him on twitter here @LandofSticks
KELLY EAGLES
Kelly is our social media and engagement editor. She is a multi-talented work-a-holic, political junky and caffeine addict. Kelly studied paralegal studies with a local business college, as well as journalism with NBCC and Political Science through Athabasca University. She has a passion for social media marketing and management and is always watching for the effects of algorithms on day-to-day life.
STEW ROGERS
Stew is Committee Trawler’s copy editor. With a background in sociology and anthropology, Stew’s very interested in politics, media analysis, and examining the underlying social factors of day-to-day life for the average person.Stew’s role as copy editor with Committee Trawler is to ensure the team knows the details, gets them right and provides the people with an accurate, digestible, understanding of the issues that affect the Halifax Regional Municipality. Outside of politics, Stew has a love for film, technology, music, poetry, and gardening.
